How do I make an appointment?
We have a fantastic online appointment system here that can be used to make a booking for any time with any of our GPs. The booking system shows the available times for all our Mount Isa medical practitioners. You can also call us on (07) 4743 3033 during business hours or contact us here if you have trouble with the system or require additional information.
How long do appointments take?
We try and keep regular consultations to approximately 15 minutes, please advise us if your appointment is likely to take longer.
How do the fee’s work?
Mount Isa Medical Centre is a mixed billing practice, what this means is that we offer some bulk billing options. The GPs at Mount Isa Medical Centre bulk bill pensioners, health care card holders and U16’s. Aged pensioners are also bulk billed. The AMA fee structure forms the basis of our billing policy and is displayed on the reception counter. All fees are payable at the time of consultation via cash, cheque, MasterCard or Visa. If you have any difficulty in paying our fees, please feel free to discuss with your GP.
